Barthel Wants Running Backs to Dominate Spring Game

Nebraska running backs coach E.J. Barthel is looking for his backs to “really dominate” during Saturday’s spring game.

Barthel says senior running back Rahmir Johnson, who along with Gabe Ervin suffered season-ending injuries against Northern Illinois last year, has really grown mentally.  “The biggest thing I notice about Rahmir is his mental focus and his determination,” Barthel said.  “He’s determined to make a statement with his career and for this team.”

You can hear Saturday’s annual Red-White game on News Talk 900 KJSK and 93.5  The Hawk.  It kicks off at 11 a.m. with the pregame starting at 9 a.m.
